Freedom Day March
Juneteenth 2020

We would like to present The Freedom Day March, a peaceful movement seeking to dismantle a systematic imbalance through the encouragement of policy reform, public education, and community-building. The nature of this event is grassroots to its core, and we aim to inspire new leadership opportunities.

We will begin our March at The National Museum of African American History & Culture. We will make our way to The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial where we will take a pause to reflect and kneel in solidarity. From there we shall March on to our final location, The Lincoln Memorial, where we will hear from speakers, enjoy performances, and come together as a community.

It is our responsibility to raise awareness to the fact that social disparities hold many intersections. Thereafter, we have to completely reimagine all our institutions in order to secure unprecedented levels of agency for the historically disenfranchised. This includes reforms in healthcare, education, environmental justice, and more.

In solidarity and in strength, we can make a difference!
